To find out more:
Where did the idea for How I Exiled My Inner Bitch come from?
Listening to my friends complaining about their partner’s kids, and listening to the kids.
How did you come up with the title?
When I was telling someone what the story was about.
Who was your favourite character to write and why?
The bitch – it’s liberating to say what you really think.
How long did it take you to write How I Exiled My Inner Bitch?
It was originally a screenplay, which took years to develop, and I adapted it into a book in four months.
Other than the title, what makes How I Exiled My Inner Bitch stand out from the crowd?
It’s a psychological comedy, which is a rare genre.
What are your favourite and least favourite parts of promoting your book?
I’ve never been a Facebook fan, so don’t enjoy that, but I have learned the appeal, and power, of Twitter
What are you working on now?
Urgently need to write some movie reviews (I’m a film critic), so planning on going to a few screenings and writing them up.
Are there any occupational hazards to being an author?
Paperback or eBook?
I only ever read print books.
Sweet or savoury?
Listener or talker?
I like to think both
Tea or coffee?
Snow or sun?
Sun, every time. I lived in the UK until 2005 and now live in the California sun. There’s no comparison
Any last words for your readers?
Please take a Look Inside!
Thank you so much for being here today Miv, it was a pleasure to have you on my blog.
Now check out the book:
“Dionne is 36, and still hooked on the imaginary twin she invented to get her through her desolate childhood. With such an odd companion, long-term relationships are impossible and she is doomed to live her life as a serial monogamist, until the Go Along Guy shows up. Greg has denial on intravenous, so Dionne’s quirks simply pass him by and, pretty soon, shallow love blossoms. Unfortunately, however, what are also blossoming are Greg’s teenage daughters. They don’t like Dionne and their hormones are raging.”
How I Exiled My Inner Bitch was published in August 2013. Find out how to buy the book here.
