Wrong Bed, Right Guy – Katee Robert

Wrong Bed, Right Guy

“Prim and proper art gallery coordinator Elle Walser is no good at seducing men. Heck, she’s been throwing hints at her boss for months, but he’s completely clueless. Desperate to escape her mother’s matchmaking efforts, she comes up with a plan—buy some lingerie and climb into her boss’s bed. The plan goes brilliantly…until she accidentally seduces a sexy stranger instead.

Bad boy nightclub mogul Gabe Schultz just had the best almost-sex of his life. Too bad the smoking hot blonde thought he was his brother and bolted before he could finish what they started. Though her holier-than-thou attitude puts a serious damper his mood, Gabe’s never been one to give up on something he wants. And he wants Elle. But does a man who lives on the dark side really have a chance with a proper lady?”

I bought this eBook from Amazon after reading a couple of good reviews for it, I was completely intrigued by the title and blurb – I loved the idea of the girl thinking she’s getting into bed with her boss (who she has a crush on) and it turns out to be his brother, I just had to know how that scene would go!

The storyline sucked me in straight away as it began with Elle heading towards her boss’s room in an attempt to seduce him, I say attempt because it was clear even then that she didn’t have a huge amount of confidence when it came to men.  The reason for this is explained as the book progressed.

I was so happy when it then switched to Gabe’s point of view because I love reading books from both sides, his shock and confusion at what was happening made me giggle and as events unfolded I found myself laughing out loud even more.  I know it was supposed to be an erotic moment but I actually found the whole thing quite amusing.  The erotic side of it certainly heated up as the book went on and it was very descriptive throughout so if you might be offended by this then Wrong Bed, Right Guy might not be for you.

I did find it hard to believe that Elle wouldn’t have noticed sooner that she was in bed with the wrong man but hey it’s fiction so I can forgive it for that.  I was looking forward to finding out what would happen when Elle next went into work, I knew it would be an awkward situation and couldn’t wait to see how it would go.

The spark between Gabe and Elle was electric!  Gabe was adorable because he had a bit of a bad boy past but he also seemed to have a caring, romantic side and it was for this reason that I fell for him too. I’ll admit that I was hoping Nathan (Elle’s boss and Gabe’s brother) would be more involved in the relationship, perhaps in a love triangle kind of way :).  A misunderstanding later on shocked me though and I found myself hoping that things would work out.

After the initial amusement at the beginning there were a few other moments that had me laughing out loud, the main one being the flower incident – I could picture the scene so easily and found it very funny! According to the author’s blog there is a second book on its way so I’m really looking forward to that.

This was an addictive page-turner, quick to read and filled to the brim with sexual tension.
