Girl Least Likely To Marry by Amy Andrews

Girl least likely to marry

“Talk nerdy to me…

Samuel Tucker is absolutely the last person scientist Cassie Barclay would ever date. Yes, he’s gorgeous, but he’s also far too cocky for his own good and thinks that pi is a tasty afternoon treat. So when he asks her to dance at her friend Reese’s nonwedding she’s wondering why on earth she says yes!

Tuck is used to people assuming he’s all brawn and no brain, and amuses himself by winding Cassie up. But when he finally takes her to bed, suddenly it’s Tuck who can show Cassie a thing or two! Can he convince her that love and sex have nothing to do with logic and everything to do with chemistry?”

Firstly I’d like to thank the publishers for sending me this book to read and give an honest review. Modern Tempted (previously known as RIVA) is a fabulous new series from Mills & Boon, these books are fun, flirty, sexy and romantic but with a contemporary edge.  This particular book is the second in The Wedding Season quartet – four books following four college roommates as they rediscover their friendship and fall in love with their perfect match.  I reviewed the first book here.

Like the first book, this one began with the four girls at University.  I loved how the stories were linked, it meant that I already knew some of the back story so this just added more information to help me get to know the characters even better!

I caught up with them again at Reece’s non-wedding party and this was where the gorgeous Tuck came in.  Tuck was confident and rather flirtatious, it was clear that he was a ladies man and for me that just made him more appealing as a character.  When one of the girls challenged him he couldn’t resist taking the bet.  I couldn’t wait to see where this would lead, although I did have a fairly good idea.

Cassie had a very scientific approach to life so she didn’t seem very well suited to Tuck but he certainly stirred up some crazy feelings in her which overwhelmed her completely.  Their steamy connection was exciting and addictive to read, it kept me hooked until the very end.

This was a fun, light-hearted read that entertained me throughout.
